Annealing Curve Simulator

Draw a cooling schedule and see whether the piece survives it.

Building the model

The 3D library is fetched only on this page. It is about 670 KB and it is cached after the first visit.

Educational simulation only. The figures are calculated from the parameters you set, not measured from real glass, and nothing here replaces the instructions that came with your equipment.

What this model does

It is a teaching model with a small number of honest relations in it, not a process simulator.

Outputs

  • Total anneal time
  • Soak temperature
  • Cooling rate
  • Stress risk

What it does not model

Surface tension, thermal gradients through the wall, the effect of the punty, and the chemistry of a real melt. The model keeps a small set of relations exact so the trend you see is real, and it is honest about everything it leaves out.

Accessibility and performanceThe 3D library is fetched only on this page and only when it is needed. If WebGL is unavailable, the page falls back to a 2D reference version that keeps every figure and every control, and the model never downloads at all. Auto-rotation, particles and transitions are disabled when your system asks for reduced motion.
