3D STUDIO
Color Mixer
Sprinkle frit, brush powder and lay gold leaf onto a turning gather.
Static reference version
This device cannot render WebGL, so the 2D reference version is shown. Every figure in the panel beside it is still calculated from the parameters you set — the model is the illustration, not the measurement.
Educational simulation only. The figures are calculated from the parameters you set, not measured from real glass, and nothing here replaces the instructions that came with your equipment.
What this model does
It is a teaching model with a small number of honest relations in it, not a process simulator.
Outputs
- Coverage (%)
- Frit required (g)
- Layers applied
- Colour count
What it does not model
Surface tension, thermal gradients through the wall, the effect of the punty, and the chemistry of a real melt. The model keeps a small set of relations exact so the trend you see is real, and it is honest about everything it leaves out.
The other three tools
Gather & Blow Simulator
Dip a pipe into a 3D furnace, carry the glowing gather to the bench and inflate it. Pressure, gather size, rotation and temperature all move the bubble in real time, and the volume, diameter and wall thickness are calculated as you work.
Glass Shaper
Take a hot gather and deform it with five different tools. Drag across the surface and the geometry moves vertex by vertex, with the height, diameter and capacity recalculated on every stroke.
Annealing Curve Simulator
Set the glass, the thickness and the ramp rates, then watch the schedule play out against the annealing and strain points. Cooling too fast raises a stress warning and shows where the crack would start.
